The Hanger Steak comes from the beef's belly, actually "hanging" near the diaphragm. It's a flat, flavorful & tender cut that's similar to the skirt & flank steak. Often referred to as the "Butcher's Steak," the butcher would often seam it the Hanger Steak out and keep for themselves because it was so tender and flavorful. A beef only yields 1 Hanger Steak, so don't expect to find this cut in the grocery store. Grab it when it's in stock here at Blue Silo and you'll probably find your new favorite cut.
Our grass-fed beef is raised on pasture & finished for flavor with a limited corn diet, sourced within a 100 mi radius of our farm. Our beef is aged for 14 days before being hand cut, vac packed and flash frozen to lock in freshness.
Each package contains 1 boneless Hanger Steak. You will be charged for the exact weight of the steak you receive.
