Blue Silo Farm Pasture Raised Ground Chicken Burger Springfield Missouri

Juicy, flavorful chicken burgers start with ground chicken and are made with simple ingredients and perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

If you're looking for new ways to use ground chicken, these homemade chicken burgers deserve a spot in your meal rotation.

They're quick to make, high in protein, freezer-friendly, and a lighter alternative to traditional beef burgers while still being satisfying enough to keep everyone at the table happy.

Here on our farm near Springfield, Missouri, ground chicken has become one of our favorite summer staples because it easily transforms into burgers, meatballs, taco bowls, and simple weeknight meals.

These burgers pair perfectly with sliced tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese, or your favorite burger toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Blue Silo Ground Chicken or Ground Turkey
  • Β½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional: Β½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl until just mixed.
  2. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into burger patties.
  3. Refrigerate patties for 15-30 minutes if time allows. This helps them hold together better.
  4. Grill or cook in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F. Leave them undisturbed before flipping to prevent them from sticking and falling apart. As they sear the burgers will naturally release from the grill to make flipping easier without them breaking apart.
  5. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Serving Ideas

  • Classic burger with lettuce, tomato, and onion
  • BBQ chicken burger with bacon and cheddar
  • Southwest burger with pepper jack, avocado, and salsa
  • Serve bunless over a salad for a lower-carb option

Why We Love Ground Chicken

Ground chicken is one of the most versatile proteins to keep in the freezer.

It's lean, mild in flavor, and takes on whatever seasonings you're craving. Plus, our farm-raised chicken is:

βœ” Air-chilled
βœ” Packaged without fillers or preservatives
βœ” Raised in smaller groups with room to roam
βœ” Processed in a poultry-only facility, making it a trusted choice for many families managing Alpha-gal sensitivities.

Mid-summer is the best time to stock up on farm-fresh chicken cuts while we're in the heart of our growing season and there's plenty in stock.
